Power Outages Reach Around the World

If you live in the Midwest, you can relate to power outages. In your case, it is because of the ice. As you know, it is difficult to have a service in the evening when there is no power. The same is true here in Africa.

We also had to cancel services. No…no…no…not because of an ice storm here in Burkina (only in our dreams). Some of the houses and offices here in Burkina require that you pay for electricity in advance. Our church has that kind of account. Two Wednesday’s ago, while we were on our way to church, I received a call that the power went out. Isn’t that the way Satan works. It happened around 6:45, and our midweek service starts at 7:00. The evening wasn’t a complete lost. We were able to have a little bit of fellowship in the dark; and we had a time of prayer.
